Fall fanatics

Fall is upon us people, and I could not be happier! I mean, technically...it's still in the 90s here, and it's not exactly like we have leaves that fall from trees... but still! It's close enough and I'm so ready to put up fall decorations I can't stand it. So I did. I'd rather have a whole month of just fall to enjoy before the Halloween train arrives.

Part of my inspired room decorations.
Obviously these aren't too fall-y, but we encountered them on a trip to Aj's and I just thought they were so beautiful!
 Pumpkin spice waffles...mmh

And of course, the ever-present, always-delicious signal that fall has really arrived.  Pumpkin spice lattes from Starbs.

Happy Labor Day

Happy Labor Day!  Are you sporting your American pride with red, white, and blue at a barbecue, or are you relaxing with a nice glass of red wine in yogas on the porch?  Either way sounds absolutely delightful to us!

We've had a wonderful weekend with Lauren's family, full of good food (think flank steak, cheesy bread, homemade pizza, Starbs and Aj's desserts) and even better laughs.  We even successfully watched four movies in two nights!  Gone, Machine Gun Preacher, My Week With Marilyn, and Man On A Ledge.  Our verdict?  Gone was good just because Amanda Seyfried is gorgeous and has amazing hair.  Machine Gun Preacher was good in theory.....and Gerard Butler certainly helped..but the fact that it was two and a half hours with virtually no plot and no ending made it a little less satisfying.  My Week With Marilyn was rather annoying because a) Marilyn was literally drugged the entire time and spent most of her time with bed head, and b) Michelle Williams comes no where near to doing Marilyn's stunning face justice.  Man on a Ledge was probably the best, it had the entire family on their feet in joy at the end.  But that was mostly just because it actually had and ending.  Anywho, how are you spending your three-day weekend?  Or perhaps you had to work today and would like to vent about that...either way, we'd love to hear it!

We have a lot of posts in the queue, so come back soon!

Also, check out Lauren's Music Mania page for updates and mine for words OF wisdom!

Parlers de Toilette

I kid you not, some of my best thinking and most prolific thoughts come when I am sitting on the toilet. Before you crinkle your nose and shy away, I swear I'm not a gross person and have never ever tweeted a "#toilettweet" before, and never ever will.  And its not the act of going to the bathroom, so don't get your panties in a bundle!  It's just that spot in my house.  I don't know why this particular place is so inspiring for me... but it is.  Whether I'm being interviewed, fighting, crying, planning, praying, or just plain talking...completely alone, mind you...clarity always seems to accompany me.
So I thought that anytime I come up with something especially brilliant in le salle de bain, I'll share it in a post titled Parlers de Toilette, P de T for short.  And by the way, I'm not french... I just wish I was. The first one will be coming shortly, its from yesterday!  So alls I gotta do is type it up.  In the meanwhile we're still designing, creating, debating, and pinning away, so if we have some lag time in our posts, it's cause we're busy appreciating the beautiful things in life!

macarons and inspiration

Bonjour!

Nothing like working away furiously on your laptop knowing you're so close, so close, to perfection, while nibbling on a french chocolate macaron.  Mmh.

This blog is the inspired love child of two best friends who have an unhealthy obsession with Pinterest, food, and beautifulness.  Seeing so many gorgeous clothes, crafty DIY projects, tummy-rumbling recipes, houses decorated to perfection, and adorable hair styles just puts us in the best mood ever!  We love the little things in life (and the finer!) and are dead set on sharing them with the rest of you.  We hope that seeing the world through our eyes makes it just as breathtaking and lovely for you as it is for us.

This is just the beginning of a beautiful, beautiful friendship...and we can't wait for what lies ahead!
